Advantages of the 3.3/4F Catheters with Guidewire Tip

 

  • The physician will be able to cannulate the CS and it’s side branches
  • It can potentially be useful for deeper CS pacing to confirm the isolation of the PVs
  • Using this catheter, physicians can potentially go so deep into the CS it will be ideal for left-sided WPW cases to more precisely locate the site of the accessory pathway.
  • For posterior septal accessory pathways, doctors sometimes map within the middle cardiac vein (MCV) and this would potentially be ideal for doing that.
  • With its small profile, the CS Catheter is an option for use in patients with small or restrictive anatomy.  The physician may be able to;
  • cannulate the CS and side branches
  • confirm isolation of PVs
  • locate the site of accessory pathways
